Academic jargon and pretentious concept will create your prose turgid, absurd, and downright irritating.
Historians value plain English.Your professor will suspect that you have little to say that you are trying to conceal. Needless to say, historians can’t go along without some concept; also people who profess to own no concept do—it’s called realism that is naпve. And often you want a technical term, be it ontological argument or environmental fallacy.
